Kennedy Hamatunga was born April 13, 1970. He joined the New Day family in April of 2018 and serves as the Kitchen Manager for the orphanage. He is responsible for the weekly inventory, list-making, and grocery shopping for the orphanage, along with overseeing the kitchen staff and all food preparations. Kennedy has worked in the restaurant business for years, and he is an asset to New Day!
Kennedy is married to Glenda, who works at Macha Hospital, and they have four children – Allan, Namakau, Lushomo, and Adrian. His family lives in nearby Macha, and they spend most of their weekends together. Kennedy became a Christian in 1988 and is an active member of the Brethren Church. He loves to sing and play football, and we have loved getting to know Uncle Kennedy!
