Mweene was born February 14, 2007 in Monze. His mother and father died when he was around 3 years old. He lived with his paternal grandmother for a couple of years before he was passed to his maternal grandmother. She contacted New Day, telling us she could not care for Mweene along with the other orphans she was already caring for in her home.
Mweene arrived at New Day in October of 2012. As soon as Mweene learned English, he began to excel in school, especially in reading! He also loves music and playing football with his older brothers!
