Steven was born on August 16, 2016. His mother passed away in 2017, and he was sent to Choma to live with his grandmother. His grandmother repeatedly brought him to New Day claiming she could not care for him, and after several months of investigations, Social Welfare gave us permanent custody of Steven and his sister Blessing.
Even though he was 18 months old when he came to New Day, he had never walked, as he had been carried on someone's back for his whole life. After arriving, he quickly began crawling and exploring his surroundings, and then soon he began walking everywhere!
Steven arrived at New Day in February of 2018.
