Birthday: July 29, 2021
Sophie Muchindu Chabota was born on July 29, 2021. She is the sister to our youngest Chileleko. Her mother, Mbiliya Chabota, was an epileptic and fell into the fire and had to be rushed to the hospital. While there, she prematurely gave birth to Sophie. Sadly, Sophie’s mother passed away from her injuries. Nothing is known about who Sophie’s father is.
Sophie was in the hospital about a month before she was brought to New Day by her grandparents, her uncle and aunt, and a Social Welfare worker. Her grandfather insisted that she should come to live at New Day where her older brother, Chileleko lives.
Sophie became part of the New Day family in September of 2021 when she was only a month old and she is now living in Mama Priscilla’s house.
