Ben was born June 26, 2005 in Mbabala. His mother died when he was six years old, and he went to live with his grandmother. His father, having another family and being very ill, had not seen Ben since he was a small child. Ben’s grandmother left him at the Social Welfare office in Choma stating that she had no way to care for him.
Ben arrived at New Day in June of 2011. Ben is a very intelligent child with a hint of mischief! Ben is an avid reader who has to be told each night to turn off the light and go to bed, as his nose is always in a book!
