As we raise our children to know Christ personally, we are often reminded of the incredible darkness that surrounds New Day. Zambia is a nation that, while officially labeled a Christian nation, remains steeped in traditional beliefs. Many live in fear of ancestral spirits and curses that can be brought about by witch doctors. These beliefs run so deep, that they cover every aspect of life. From the health of a loved one, to success in business, even down to the number of mangos growing on a nearby tree, there are potions and rituals and charms that guide and control one’s life.

But that stands in stark contrast to a life surrendered to God’s guidance and control.

The staff at New Day has committed to engage the surrounding villages with the message of Christ. We have seen first hand how God calls men and women of all ages (not just orphans) to Himself. In addition to church on Sunday, there are 6 other bible studies that take place every week, as well as a daily devotion for anyone looking for work at New Day.

God has blessed our ministry with Zambian and American staff who love serving the Lord and are more than willing to spread His word in any way possible. Please be in prayer for these areas of outreach for New Day. Pray that lives would be radically changed as the Holy Spirit moves and works in individual hearts.
