Hildah Simweemba was born May 13, 1980 in Mazabuka and is currently the Principal at New Day School  She came to New Day after teaching at Firm Foundations, a Christian private school in Mazabuka. Hildah was a youth in Mazabuka when Wes and Laurie began their ministry in Zambia. Through their teaching she came to accept Jesus as her Savior. She later joined the New Day family in February of 2011, teaching Tonga and Mathematics in the school.  Her daughter Laurie lives with her at New Day.

Although New Day is situated among the Tonga people, Hildah is one of only two Tongas we have on staff. As such, she is the most accomplished translator and attends 3 afternoon Bible studies each week. When she is not translating, she teaches children’s Sunday school at church. Although she is young, Hildah has a lot of spiritual wisdom and discernment. This makes her a valuable asset to the New Day staff when starting new churches.
