Water is life. In rural Zambia, where it rains only 6 months out of the year, life depends on the quality of the rainy season. Villagers walk for miles to a borehole or to the river, often collecting dirty water to prepare their food, wash their clothes, and even drink. New Day has seen a huge need for fresh water and has therefore partnered with churches in the USA to provide boreholes with hand pumps for several rural communities.

It is always exciting when the big drilling truck arrives and when water is struck! After the well is drilled, communities host a “thank you” ceremony for us, providing us with nshima, goat meat, and a massive amount of chibwantu to drink! We are then able to share about the One who provides Living Water and how God provided a way for them to never “thirst” again!
